Example For lighting a bedroom 10 ft x 15 ft = 150 square feet, use minimum of 150w incandescent or 75w fluorescent.
Increase the wattage if:
1. It is in a room where tasks are performed
2. The room has higher than 8 ft ceilings and / or the walls or floors are dark in colour
3. The lamps are recessed or covered with a diffuser or shade that will cut down the light output

DEVELOP YOUR LIGHTING PLAN TO FILL THE FOLLOWING

For best effect, use clear bulbs with crystal, clear or other transparent colours. Use frosted or coated lamps with opal, etched or other translucent glass shades or diffusers.
